This proposal is in response to <br /> correspondences from Mr. Mike Infurna of San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> Environmental Health Department (PHS/EHD) dated April 16, 1998 and June 15, 1998. The <br /> proposed scope of work will be completed in two phases. The first phase will include the <br /> excavation, transport, and disposal.of the existing backfill material in the former tank pit and <br /> backfill and compaction of the excavation with clean fill material. The second phase includes <br /> installing three soil borings, collecting soil samples, completing the borings as groundwater <br /> monitoring wells, developing and sampling the groundwater monitoring wells, and preparing a <br /> summary report. The following is a description of tasks that will be performed and the <br /> corresponding estimated budget is included in Attachment 1. <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> PHASE ONE <br /> Task 1: Workplan and Executive Summary Preparation <br /> Under this task, ATC will prepare a workplan including necessary permit applications and fees for <br /> the subsurface investigation. The workplan will conform to the underground storage tank (UST) <br /> Corrective Action Site Safety Guidelines set forth by the PHS/EHD. ATC will also prepare an <br /> Executive Summary for posting during the public review process required prior to beginning site <br /> mitigation. The workplan, Executive Summary, and a tentative work schedule will be sent to the <br /> client in draft form.
