KYLE CHRISTIE
PAGE 4
Brown and Caldwell stated that the wells still show nondetect results.
225 South Cherokee Lane, Lodi ARCO Facility #760
PHS/EHD contact - Linda Turkatte
Installation of the soil borings/vapor wells proposed for the alley way to the north and northeast
of the site is delayed pending access from the property owners. Access agreements were sent
to the property owners on 10/24/94. One agreement needs to be reissued due to a property
owner change.
A copy of the signed access agreement, a completed permit application with the associated
$89. 00 fee for each separate parcel to be drilled on, and an updated site map showing the
locations of the proposed new wells should be submitted to PHS/EHD instead of a workplan
addendum.
The comparative assessment between this site and ARCO station #548 will be
revised and resubmitted. For an explanation of the revised portions of the assessment, please
refer to the ARCO station #548 summary in this letter.
3425 N. Tracy Blvd. , Tracy ARCO Facility # 2093
PHS/EHD contact - Harlin Knoll
The catalytic oxidizer unit currently at ARCO station #434 will be moved to this site. The start
up date is expected to be approximately 6 months away as the design specification bid
package is still being prepared and needs to be sent out for bid. Once the system is in
operation, additional testing will be conducted to estimate the influence and the efficiency of
the system.
Additional analytical testing of the product evidenced in monitoring wells ATR#3 and ATR#8
will be conducted by Global Geochemistry Labs. The testing may determine the origin of the
crude oil used to manufacture the product in the wells, specifically the product in monitoring
well ATR#8. The testing will also determine if any specific additives are prevalent in the
product which may indicate a manufacturer or a time of manufacture. An old photo showing
other possible sources to this contamination was produced. PHS/EHD recommended
additional research to help pinpoint another possible source.
25775 Patterson Pass Road, Tracy ARCO Facility #6100
PHS/EHD contact - Margaret Lagorio
Mr, Robert Vieira has not yet responded to the request for access letters sent in April, October,
and November, 1994. Future work to define the extent of soil contamination is delayed
pending this access.
Remediation of this site will be postponed until equipment from another site in San Joaquin
County becomes available.
501 W. Kettleman Lane, Lodi ARCO Facility #434
PHS/EHD contact " Margaret Lagorio
ARCO representatives and their franchisee will meet to resolve the issue of gaining access for
the replacement of monitoring well MW2. ARCO hopes to replace monitoring well MW#2 in
December, 1994.
The vapor extraction system is currently removing approximately four pounds of petroleum
hydrocarbons per day. As there is still contamination being removed and as there is no
