Recitals J 1 . 1 Grantor owns certain real properly common known as Park Woods Center which is located within the City of Stockton and the County of San Joaquin , State of California at 1704 West Hammer Lane, Stockton , CA 95247 and consists of Assessor's Parcel no. 077-280-029 as shown on the attached Assessors Parcel Map (the "Property") - 1 .2 Grantee is the owner of the property and operator m franchisor of ARCO service station no. 548, herein called "Station 548 IN located at 1872 West Hammer Lane, Stockton, CA 95207, wherein monitoring wells have been installed to investigate the release or threatened release of petroleum hydrocarbons and other chemicals at Station 548 . 1 .3 Grantee, at the request and direction of San Joaquin County Public Health Services , Environmental Health Department pursuant to letter dated July 27 , 1993, II desires enter the Property commence an off-sfte investigation of the release of petroleum hardrocarbons and other chemicals from Station 548 and to allow Grantee to install certain Boreholes and Monitoring Wells on the Property and to provide access to the Property to Grantee or Grantee's consultants , engineers, employees, contractors, subcontractors , representatives and agents, herein collectively called "Grantee's Agents" , for the purpose of performing the such investigations , tests, installations and remedial work as required by the governmental agency with jurisdiction or as otherwise described in Exhibit A hereto ("Permitted Activities") authorized by this Access Agreement. 1 .4 Under this Access Agreement, Grantor intends to grant access and permission for Grantee and Grantee's Agents to have access to the Property in conformity with the terms and conditions of this Access Agreement. 1 . 5 Grantee has selected EMCON located at 1433 North Market boulevard , Page I of 7
