�sz <br /> Work Plan September 5, 1990 <br /> ARCO Station 545, Stockton, California AGS 30004-2 <br /> o Drill two soil borings to approximately 20 feet in the area where a new tank <br /> cavity may be excavated. <br /> ® o Collect relatively undisturbed soil samples from each boring at 5-foot intervals <br /> or other appropriale intervals from the ground surface to the total boring <br /> depth and classify the samples according to the Unified Soil Classification <br /> System. <br /> ® o Collect four discrete soil samples from the stockpiled drill cuttings to be <br /> composited into one sample for analyses to evaluate disposal options. <br /> o Analyze the soil samples for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline(TPHg) <br /> and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers (BTEX). <br /> o Backfill borings with a slurry of cement, bentonite, and water. <br /> o Prepare a report including our interpretations, conclusions. <br /> FIELD PROCEDURES <br /> ;safety Plan <br /> '$ The attached site safety plan (Applied GeoSystems, March 23, 1990) describes the basic s <br /> safety requirements for the drilling of soil borings at the work site.
