(Stantec) is forwarding the Quarterly Status Summary Report (QSSR) — Fourth
Quarter 2011 (4Q11) for 76 (Former BP) Service Station No. 11193, located at 3202 West
Hammer Lane in Stockton, California (site).
Site Description
The site is situated in a mixed commercial/residential area on the southwest corner of West
Hammer Lane and Kelley Drive in Stockton, California. The current station configuration
consists of three 10,000-gallon, double-walled (two gasoline and one diesel) underground
storage tanks (USTs), two dispenser islands, associated product lines, and a station building. In
May 2004, one of the 10,000-gallon USTs (previously utilized for gasoline) was converted for
diesel storage.
Historical files indicate that BP acquired the site from Mobil in May 1989. The gasoline service
station operated under BP ownership until ConocoPhillips (then Tosco Corporation) purchased
the property in August 1994. Historical UST permit application information suggested that the
site was historically operated as a gasoline service station since at least 1978. No changes
have been made to the previous investigations and site history since the report submittal of
Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report (QMR) Third Quarter 2011 (3Q11) dated October 31,
2011).
Sensitive Receptors
In 1999, Cambria Environmental Technology, Incorporated (Cambria) conducted a sensitive
receptor survey. Based on a review of United States Geological Survey topographic maps and
area maps, an unnamed levy-restricted slough was identified 2,000 feet (ft) south of the site,
and a man-made lake was located in a residential area approximately 1,500 ft southwest of the
site. Well logs obtained through the State of California Department of Water Resources
indicated the presence of an irrigation well owned by the California Department of
11193 QSSR 4Q11.doc 1
