Working To Restore Nature <br />• February 12, 1993 <br /> BP Oil Facility No. 11193, Stockton, California. <br /> 2.2 Monitoring Well Installation and Construction <br /> g <br /> Borings B-1 through B-4 were converted into monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4, <br />• <br /> respectively, in accordance with the installation procedures presented in Appendix B. Well. <br /> ' construction details are included in the Boring Logs (Appendix D). <br /> ' 2_3 Monitorina Well Development and Sam lin <br />• Well development and sampling were conducted according to the applicable guidelines of <br /> the governing regulatory agencies. A description of the general field procedures for well <br /> ' development and sampling is presented in Appendix B. Monitoring wells MW-1 through <br /> MW-4 were developed on December 18, 1992. Field observations during well development <br /> ' and sampling are presented in the sampling survey forms included in Appendix E. <br />• <br /> 2.4 Groundwater Level Monitoring and Well Surve in <br /> The top of well casings in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 were surveyed to mean <br /> sea level according to City of Stockton and San Joaquin Datums. <br />*IP The depth to groundwater in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-4 was measured on <br /> December 21, 1992. The survey data and relative groundwater elevation measurements are <br /> presented in Table 1, and the potentiometric surface beneath the site is shown on Plate 3. <br /> 3.0 ANALYTICAL METHODS <br /> Laboratory analyses of soil and groundwater samples were performed by PACE <br /> Laboratories, Inc. of Novato, California, a California-certified analytical laboratory. <br /> ' Selected soil samples from borings B-1 through B-4 were analyzed for purgeable fuel <br />• hydrocarbons as gasoline, equivalent to total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, <br /> ' (TPHg), using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 5030/8015 <br /> (modified) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylene isomers (BTEX) <br /> using EPA Methods 5030/8020 (modified). <br /> O <br /> ' Soil samples from boring B-4 were also analyzed for extractable fuels as diesel, <br /> equivalent to total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd), using EPA Methods <br /> ' 3550/8015, total oil and grease (TOG) using Standard Method 5520, and <br /> halogenated volatile compounds (HVCs) using EPA Method 8010. <br />• <br /> k <br /> 17051.01 3 <br />
