The
purpose of this Workplan is to address comments regarding the Site Conceptual Model provided in
correspondence from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) dated j
September 23, 2008. The additional investigation and testing will include the following activities: i-
• Development of HASP;
• Permitting;
Soil Boring Advancement and Soil/Groundwater Sample Collection; and j
• Preparation of an Additional Investigation Report/Update Site Conceptual Model (SCM). r
Previous investigations and ongoing quarterly groundwater monitoring indicate the presence of methyl-tert
butyl ether(MTBE)in groundwater beneath the site. Results of these and other investigations performed
in the site vicinity indicate that shallow groundwater exists below the site at depths ranging from
approximately 7 to 19 feet below ground surface (bgs). Historical groundwater flow is towards the
southeast.
The purpose of this soil and groundwater investigation is to address soil and groundwater data gaps
identified by the SJCEHD. This includes further evaluation of the horizontal and lateral extent of impacted
groundwater in the vicinity of the former Underground Storage Tanks (UST) and the potential for
downgradient MTBE migration beneath the neighboring Taco Bell facility to the southeast. In addition,the
scope of work will address the concern that impacted soil may remain near the original release location
Additional No.132,S Workplan j
V Quik Stop No.132,Stockton,CA
.......... ....
