Workp` f(For Additional Assessment and Feasibwdy Study
Quik Stop Market No. 132
3555 West Hammer Lane
Stockton, California
A licensed surveyor will be contracted to measure the top of the casing elevation of each well to
within 0.01 foot. The wells will be developed and groundwater samples will be collected from the
wells at the time of the next regularly scheduled quarterly groundwater-monitoring event for the
site.
The cuttings from the borings and the wells will be placed in a Department of Transportation
(DOT) approved 17H drum and left on site pending analytical results. A licensed waste hauler,
upon receipt of laboratory analytical data, will properly dispose of the contents of the drum.
TASK 3 FEASIBILrry STUDY AND REPORT PREPARATION
A feasibility study will be performed to compare at least two cost-effective remediation methods
for the site to reduce MTBE concentrations and mass in soil and groundwater, and to prevent
further migration of MTBE. The remedial methods for the site to be considered for comparison
will include natural attenuation, enhanced in-situ bioremediation, and ex-situ methods (pump and
treat technologies). The feasibility study will be included in a report presenting the results of the
depth discrete groundwater sampling, and the well cluster installation. The report will include a
summary of all field activities, a tabulation of analytical data, laboratory analytical reports and
chain-of-custody documentation, boring logs, and well construction details. All project work will
be performed under the direction of a California Registered Geologist.
SCHEDULE
Following approval of this workplan by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Division, we expect that obtaining off-site access and mobilization for the
field work will require approximately 4 weeks. Fieldwork for Task 2 will be scheduled after the
analytical results from Task 1 have been received. The Feasibility Study and Report of
Investigation will be submitted within eight weeks following the completion of field activities and
receipt of all analytical results. ATC assumes no project delays will occur due to site access,
regulatory agencies, or inclement weather.
5
