The well will be set with a 10-foot section of 0.020-inch slotted <br /> screen set at the bottom of the well. Number 2/12 sand will be used as filter pack surrounding <br /> the well screen as appropriate. A two foot bentonite seal (hydrated bentonite chips) will be <br /> added on top of the sand. The well will be secured at the surface with a flush'mounted, traffic- <br /> rated protection box. <br /> Prior to obtaining a groundwater sample from the newly installed groundwater monitoring well, <br /> the well will be properly developed. The well will be developed by removing at least five well <br /> volumes of groundwater. <br /> r <br /> Soil cuttings and decontamination water generated duringl�the investigation will be disposed of <br /> following receipt of the laboratory analytical results. The cuttings and decontamination water <br /> will be transported for disposal or recycling by a licensed hazardous waste hauler. <br /> Task 3. Groundwater Monitoring Well Installatio Report Preparation <br /> A''report on the groundwater investigation activities will lie prepared after alll�of the results are <br /> received from the analytical laboratory. The report will it assessment procedures, a soil <br /> boring location map, soil boring log, a tabulated summary of analytical results, laboratory data <br /> sheets and chain of custody documentation, evaluation of the data collected,;conclusions, and <br /> i recommendations. <br /> i <br /> SCHEDULE <br /> I� <br /> Following approval of this Work Plan by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Division, we expect that permit acquisition and mobilization for the field work will require <br /> approximately 4 weeks.
