Revised Work Plan for Additional Groundwatednvestigation
Quik Stop Market No. 132
3555 West Hammer Lane
Stockton,California
In a letter to Quik Stop Markets Inc., dated April 1, 1997, the San Joaquin County Public Health
Services Environmental Health Division stated the that "the only remaining issue at the site is the
l MTBE currently being detected in Monitoring Well MW-5". The San Joaquin County Public
! Health Services Environmental Health Division recommended the sampling of only Monitoring
Well MW-5 for future quarterly monitoring events, therefore, no other groundwater monitoring
wells at the site were sampled during the first quarter 1998 sampling event. However, in a letter
to Quik Stop Markets Inc. dated April 27, 1998, the San Joaquin County Public Services
Environmental Division requested that "each quarter sample and analyze water from all of the
] MWs until further direction from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental
u Health Division".
WELL SURVEY
Per the request of the San Joaquin County Public Health Services Environmental Health Division,
ATC conducted a well survey to locate any domestic, municipal, and agricultural wells within
2,000 feet of Quik Stop No. 132.
On September 1, 1998, ATC reviewed the well records of the State of California, Department of
Water Resources - Central Division, ATC's review of well records revealed that two wells were
within 2,000 feet of Quik Stop No. 132. The locations of the wells are shown on Figure 3. A
summary of the well construction detail for the wells is shown below.
Table 1. No wells were reported within 2,000 feet of Quik Stop No.132 by
any of the above listed water purveyors.
On September 21, 1998, ATC reviewed the aerial photograph archives of Pacific Aerial Surveys
in Oakland, California, in order to attempt to locate wells within 2,000 feet of Quik Stop No. 132.
ATC reviewed available photographs from the following years: 1996, 1994, 1992, 1991, 1990,
1985, 1979, and 1968. Evidence of past or existing wells was not visible in any of the
Ll photographs reviewed by ATC.
.nro.eaet".mkno •,worauN c )z.a« 3
i
