(ATC) is pleased to present the following work plan to the San Joaquin <br /> �- County Environmental Health Department (EHD). This work plan includes a scope of work to <br /> abandon all groundwater monitor wells previously installed as part of the completed subsurface <br /> investigation at 3555 West Hammer Lane Stockton, California (site). The site is depicted on the <br /> L attached Figure 1, Site Vicinity Map. Based on the regulatory letter dated March 1, 2012 <br /> (attached), ATC proposes to abandon nine groundwater monitor wells associated with the site. <br /> Well construction details are provided as Table 1. Details of proposed activities are provided <br /> ` below. <br /> 1.0 Proposed Scope of Work <br /> L Proposed activities include the following: <br /> • Prepare and submit the required encroachment permit application to the City of Stockton <br /> for the destruction of well MW-8. <br /> • Clear well locations of underground utilities prior to initiating field activities by <br /> Underground Service Alert of Northern California (USA) and a private utility locating <br /> company. <br /> • Prepare a Site Health and Safety Plan (HASP) to minimize potential exposure of field <br /> personnel and contractors to possible contaminants and hazards, as required by <br /> Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). <br /> • Coordinate and observe well abandonment activities by a C-57 licensed drilling <br /> L <br /> company. <br /> • Store drill cuttings, broken well parts, purge water and all related materials in labeled, <br /> 55-gallon drums with sealable lids pending proper disposal. <br /> ` 0 Schedule the pickup and disposal of waste drums and provide manifests to the EHD. <br /> 2.0 Permitting, Site Clearance and Site Safety Plan <br /> L <br /> Prior to well abandonment activities, an encroachment permit application will be prepared along <br /> with a traffic control plan and submitted to the City of Stockton.
