HAMMER LANE <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> 1. Ili;TRODUCTION <br /> i <br /> j This revised Project Safety plan delineates the basic safety requirements for the <br /> - installation of four groundwater monitoring wells at the.facility located at 3555 W. <br /> . Hammer Lane, Stockton, County of San Joaquin, California(Figure 1). <br /> ' The site is a service station and convenience store facility. The underground storage <br /> tanks on the premises contained gasoline. Exceltech, Inc.'s work will include the r <br /> drilling,sampling and logging of four exploratory borehoIes and the installation of four <br /> 3 groundwater monitoring wells in the boreholes. <br /> The provisions set forth in this plan will apply to the employees of Exceltech and its <br /> subcontractors working on the project. The subcontractors may elect to modify these <br /> provisions, but only to upgrade or increase the safety requirements, and only with the <br /> concurrence of Exceltech as designated and accepted in writing. <br /> ! <br /> ! This Project Safety Plan addresses the expected potential hazards that may be <br /> encountered during this project. Field activities will be scheduled after approval is <br /> ! obtained from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services and are expected to <br /> continue for approximately two days from the start date. If changes in site or working ! <br /> conditions occur as the activities progress, amendments to this plan will be provided by <br /> Excelioch. <br /> 2. PROJECT SAFETY AUTHORITY <br /> Personnel responsible for the project safety are: Alan Berg, Corporate Safety Officer; <br /> John-Lynch,-Fremont Office Safety Coordinator; and Richard Garlow;Project Manager <br /> and Project Geologist. <br /> F <br /> The Fremont Office Project Manager/Project Geologist'is responsible for reviewing <br /> and authorizing the provisions of this Plan. He has the authority to provide for the <br /> auditing of,compliance with the provisions of this plan, suspend or modify work <br /> practices, and to administer disciplinary actions for individuals whose conduct does not <br /> r <br /> F <br />
