Crispen April 22 , 1986 We also understand that you have acknowledged that Chevron will continue to pay rent until the cleanup process is completed and the property is returned to the Manchester Club. No rent has yet been received for the period from December 1, 1987 , to date, and we request you to forward the appropriate rental payments directly to Mr. Snell. Further, please advise us whether Chevron has paid the property tax payments due by December 10, 1987, and April 10, 1988 , in accordance with its usual practice. A further matter of concern with respect to the property is the potential for injuries to third parties resulting from the present condition of the property, especially as relates to the large holes where the tanks were located. While Chevron has acknowledged that it is responsible for all liability which might result from the condition of the property until the property is returned to the Manchester Club, we nevertheless feel it is important for Chevron to take reasonable precautions to prevent any such injuries. We have been informed by others that children have on occasion been on the property, and we are concerned that the temporary fencing placed by Chevron around the holes is inadequate to preclude falls or other exposures leading to injuries. We request your attention to this matter as well. We appreciate our long association with Chevron and look forward to your cooperation with respect to the above matter.
