in the field. After collection of one of the soil samples, the hand auger will be decontaminated <br /> as discussed above. The equipment rinse sample will then be prepared by pouring deionized <br /> water through the auger bucket and into a laboratory prepared container. The equipment rinse <br /> sample will then be placed on ice for transport to the lab along with the other samples. <br /> Samples will be submitted for the following analyses using the following EPA methods: <br /> Analysi EPA Method <br /> Nitrate as N 300.0 <br /> Ammonia as N 350.3 <br /> After sampling is completed, the hand auger borings will be backfilled and compacted with the <br /> soil cuttings that were removed. If a confining clay layer is encountered during augering, the <br /> boring will be backfilled across the clay layer with bentonite chips. <br /> 3.0 SCHEDULE <br /> Field mobilization will begin upon approval of this work plan by the Board.
