I would
like a closure report for the file.
Dave, do we need to include the BNSF Roadmaster or is this all you?
Matt Graham
BNSF Environmental
(909) 386-4081
From: Josh.Bale@CH2M.com [mailto:]
Sent: Monday, August 16, 2010 9:20 AM
To: Graham, Matt P
Cc: Sandra.Shearer@CH2M.com; Melissa.Buciak@CH2M.com
Subject: FW: BNSF Railway - Easements and Access
Matt,
I had left you a voicemail last week. CH2M HILL is looking to abandon two paired wells(a shallow
well and deeper well) that are within BNSF property at the Port of Stockton Koppel site. The wells
were installed in 1999 under the attached access agreement I located on our server. It appears
the agreement is still active and I was forwarded an email chain from Sandi Shearer in 2007 that
discusses conversation you had with her in regards to these two wells (within the access
agreement is a figure showing the location).
These wells have become buried and Dave Buccolo with CCT Railroad will be there to uncover the
wells and then Precision sampling will remove the wells. Is there anyone, besides yourself we
would need to inform of our intensions to remove these wells? We will have a final workplan for
your review in the next few days. The work is planned for mid September but we would like to get
permission from the San Joaquin County Well Permitting Division ASAP to prevent potential
schedule delays.Any assistance with these efforts would be greatly appreciated.
Additionally, once these well are removed and the ground surface is returned to surrounding
conditions it appears we will be able to close out the access agreement. Do you know the general
process for this or should we contact the real estate division?
Thanks and feel free to call me at the below number.
Josh Bale, P.E.
Associate Environmental Engineer
CH2M HILL
2525 Airpork Drive
Redding, CA 96001
E-mail:jbale@ch2m.com
Office: 530-229-3451
Fax:530-243-1654
8/24/2010
