Please let us know if the Port has any issues with placing
bollards around the wells on their property. We are more than happy to accommodate requests if
there are any concerns.
Also attached are the access agreement, the letter Jeff Wingfield provided in 2006 as an
acknowledgement of the additional work performed then, and plat maps for these parcels.
Port property area where work is proposed to be performed include:
• Placing bollards around wells KP-7S, KP-7D, KP-8S, KP-9S, and KP-12S on parcel 145-03-
009 (listed parcel address of 2526 West Washington Street)
• Abandoning well KP-10S and installing a replacement well KP-105-R next to the original
well on parcel 145-03-009 (listed parcel address of 2526 West Washington Street)
• Abandoning well KP-BG-1 on parcel 145-08-016 (listed parcel address of 433 Los Angeles
Avenue)
We recently found out the County Well Permit worker is planning a long vacation at the end of
the month and would like to get the Permit requests to the County ASAP to allow for sufficient
review time. If there is any way approval can be provided by the end of this week or the
beginning of next week that would be greatly appreciated. All we would need now is acceptance
for the well abandonments and replacement. The bollard issue is not part of the well permit and
can be discussed further prior to mobilizing mid-September. Please feel free to call me with any
questions or concerns.Thanks.
Josh Bale,P.E.
Associate Environmental Engineer
CH2M HILL
2525 Airpark Drive
Redding, CA 96001
E-mail:ibAk@ch2m.com
Office:530-229-3451
Fax:530-243-1654
8/24/2010
