Standby Time <br /> Standby time will be paid when CH2M HILL requests the crew to shut down operations <br /> for any portion of an agreed-upon workday or when the Subcontractor is delayed due to <br /> CH2M HILL's inability to provide appropriate field staff,access,or other factors within <br /> CH2M HILL's control. Authorization for standby time will be made at the discretion of <br /> CH2M HILL. Payment for this item will be made at the unit cost per hour stated for the <br /> actual number of standby hours. <br /> 4.0 Health and Safety Requirements <br /> At least one subcontractor team member shall be certified in First Aid and CPR.All <br /> members will be required to have successfully completed the 40-hour Hazardous Waste <br /> Operations and Emergency Response Standard training and be respirator fit-tested.The <br /> subcontractor shall provide verification of training prior to the initiation of fieldwork. <br /> The subcontractor shall prepare and submit a job hazard analysis for CH2M HILL <br /> approval prior to initiation of work. All subcontractor staff shall review and sign the job <br /> hazard analysis. A health and safety briefing will be held at the start of field work to <br /> inform the field team of specific health and safety issues related to the site,site activities, <br /> and restrictions that apply.The health and safety briefing will be up to 30 minutes in <br /> duration. <br /> The selected subcontractor shall review,sign,and comply with CH2M HILL's site Health <br /> and Safety Plan that will be provided prior to the start of fieldwork as well as their own <br /> Health and Safety Plan.PPE specifications will be detailed in the Health and Safety Plan. <br /> PPE requirements will be Level C,which will include Tyvek coveralls,hardhat,ear <br /> protection(when necessary), steel-toe chemical-resistant boots,inner surgical-style nitrile <br /> gloves,outer chemical-resistant nitrile gloves,and a full face air-purifying respirator with <br /> Hepa filter cartridges (GME-H cartridges or equivalent).Water shall be available and <br /> used to suppress visible dust caused by fly ash,to the extent feasible. <br /> The subcontractor will be required to supply all necessary PPE for subcontractor <br /> personnel.A copy of the subcontractor's Health and Safety Plan, a job hazard analysis, <br /> and a completed copy of CH2M HILL's health and safety questionnaire must be <br /> submitted to CH2M HILL prior to the start of work. <br /> KOPPEL-KPI ISASANDONNENTSOW.DOC $ SOLICITATION NO. <br />
