I spoke with Bill, and we
believe the correct volume (ft3) is 2,264 ft3 of impacted groundwater remaining at
the Case I site. This volume reflects general porosity beneath the site.
I have revised the calculations (attached). Please let me know if you have any
further questions.
Thanks - Tim
From: Vicki McCartney [EH] [mailto:vmccartney@sjcehd.com]
Sent: Monday, August 11, 2014 1:43 PM
To: Tim Cuellar
Subject: RE: Sierra Lumber- 375 W. Hazelton Ave., Stockton CA
Hi Tim,
I have reviewed the entire file of Case No. 1 for Sierra Lumber at 375 West
Hazelton Avenue in Stockton but I did not find a letter that stated that no further
investigation was necessary for the Case No. 1 site. I also did a cursory review of
the Case No. 2 file but did not find such a letter.
You sent to me the mass calculations for impacted soil pre-remediation,
and impacted groundwater both pre- and post-remediation for Case 1. I reviewed
the calculations that you submitted in your email dated 27 June 2014, and I
question the total volume of dissolved TPH estimated for the post-remediation
groundwater. Instead of 283 cubic feet, I have estimated the total volume of
impacted groundwater following remediation to be 5,660 cubic feet.
Will you please check this?
Thanks, Tim.
Vicki McCartney, Senior REHS
San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department
1868 East Hazelton Avenue
Stockton, California 95205
Phone: (209)468-9852
8/12/2014
