BACKGROUND <br /> The site area is located approximately 500 feet north of West Scotts Avenue between South Van <br /> IBuren Street and South Monroe Street in a topographically flat area of Stockton, California(Figure <br /> 1) The site is described as being located in the southeast quarter of Section 8, Township I North, <br /> I ' Range 6 East, Mount Diablo Base and Meridian (Stockton West Quadrangle, 7 5-Minute USGS <br /> Topographic Series, 1968, photo revised 1987) <br /> I21 SITE DESCRIPTION <br /> I The property is currently occupied by a lumber manufacturing facility The facility consists of several <br /> warehouse buildings used for the manufacture and storage of lumber Soil and ground water on the <br /> site has been found to be impacted by petroleum hydrocarbons as the result of an unauthorized <br /> Irelease from a UST formerly located on the site <br /> I22 PREVIOUS INVESTIGATION <br /> The following is a summary of previous investigation for USTs formerly located at the site <br /> • In August 1988, one 1,000-gallon gasoline UST was removed from inside the northeast <br /> warehouse at the site (See Figure 2) Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline <br /> Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc <br /> I <br />
