(AGE). In the CAP, AGE recommends in-
situ dual phase extraction (DPE) to remediate soil and ground water contamination caused by
the unauthorized release from the former on-site underground storage tanks (USTs). The DPE
will utilize 2 existing on-site remediation wells that have already been installed. Based upon
system performance, additional DPE well may be required.
The required public participation period for the CAP has been completed. No comments were
received by the EHD from the public during the required period. The CAP approval is
considered final and it should be implemented as soon as possible.
Please provide the EHD with a work plan (i.e. design, engineering, time schedule) for the
proposed DPE system installation and operation. You are required to obtain all necessary
regulatory permits for construction and operation of the DPE system prior to beginning any
work.
An initial remediation report must be submitted to the EHD and GeoTracker within 90 days of
continuous DPE system operation and semi-annually reporting thereafter.
If you have any further questions regarding this matter, please contact Harlin Knoll at (209)
468- ;442/ V, . /
Harlin Knoll, REHS_ ` Nuel C.
