To perform a 72 hour dual phase extraction (DPE)feasibility study to determine if this <br /> technology is viable remedial alternative to remove contaminant mass from the soil and <br /> the ground water in the source area on-site. <br /> 2. To install two 4-inch wells: one extraction well to approximately 40 feet bsg; one <br /> observation well to approximately 40 feet bsg. Both wells will be screened from <br /> approximately 10 to 40 feet bsg. <br /> 3. To collect selected soil samples from the pilot borings, prior to well installation, for <br /> chemical analysis of: THP-g, BTEX, fuel additives (including 1,2-DCA), and fuel <br /> oxygenates (including MTBE). <br /> 4. To develop and survey the new wells. <br /> 5. To stage an above ground storage tank on-site to temporarily contain the extracted <br /> ground water pending proper recycling or disposal. <br /> 6. To prepare and submit a DPE evaluation report with conclusions and recommendations. <br /> COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS: <br /> 1. Other existing on-site MWs that have exposed screen interval to the vadose zone <br /> should be used to measure vacuum influence during the test. <br /> 2. All required permits must be procured from EHD prior to the installation of the wells. <br /> 3.
