The AGE work plan (WP) proposes the installation of ten additional monitoring wells
(MWs) on-site. Only five MWs are approved for installation at this time.
2. Approval is granted to install five additional MWs at four separate locations on-site.
The four locations were previously investigated using CPT and grab sample
collection. The five additional MWs are proposed to investigate the lateral and
vertical extent of ground water contamination caused by the unauthorized release in
the area of Case #2
3. The approved MWs are: two MWs screened at 70 and 100 feet below ground
surface (bgs) located in the area of the CPT-1; one MW screened at 70 feet bgs in
the area of CPT-2; one MW screened at 70 feet bgs located in the area of CPT-3;
and one MW screened at 70 feet bgs located in the area of CPT-4.
4. Selected soil samples will be collected for analysis at each location.
5. After the MWs are completed, they will be developed, surveyed, and sampled.
6. A State Certified Laboratory will analyze the samples collected for: TPH-g, BTEX,
fuel oxygenates, and fuel additives including 1,2,-DCA.
7. After MW installation and soil and ground water sample analysis are completed, a
report of findings will be prepared by AGE and submitted to EHD and CVRWQCB.
COMMENTS AND CONDITIONS:
1. AGE must procure the required EHD permits prior to beginning work.
2. Selected soil samples with elevated field PID measurements will be submitted for
chemical analysis.
3. A report of findings with conclusions and recommendations will be submitted to EHD
and CVRWQCB for evaluation.
4. The State Water Resources Control Board adopted Resolution No. 2009-0042 has
reduced the required routine quarterly ground water sampling to a semi-annual
schedule. At this time, semi-annual ground water sampling is acceptable for this
site.
DATED rt %4110:! -
T i
Harlin Knoll, Senior REHS (209) 468-3442
— Cc: Timothy Cuellar, AGE
