Matt Fenske will be the project manager,with responsibilities for the following: <br /> Generating,organizing,and compiling the Site Safety And Health Plan (SSHP) <br /> Assuring that adequate training and safety briefings for the project are provided <br /> to the project team. <br /> Providing a cogy of this SSHP to each member of the project field team and one <br /> copy to the subcontractor prior to field activities,and one copy to the <br /> representative of San Joaquin County Environmental Health district.- <br /> Ensuring <br /> istrict.Ensuring that all data acquisition is performed in accordance with the work plan <br /> and SSHP,and that deviations from the plan are based upon field conditions <br /> encountered and are well documented in the field notes. <br /> Assuring that the SSHP is followed <br /> Reporting to the factory manager all facts pertaining to incidents which result in <br /> injury or exposure to toxic materials. <br /> F.G.L labs will collect and prepare samples for analyses. <br /> F.G.L will be responsible for their own health and safety program and the health <br /> and safety of their own employees. This requirement is based on OSHA regulation, <br /> which recognize the employer to employee responsibility for health and safety. A <br /> copy of their written program must be submitted for review if requested. In an <br /> effort to assist the subcontractors,and to comply with hazard communication <br /> requirements, Holly will provide a copy of the site safety and health plan for this <br /> project to the subcontractor for implementation for the subcontractor's employees. <br /> HAZARD ANALYSIS <br /> The potential hazards to personnel working at the subject site have been identified <br /> as chemical exposure,and the physical hazards of working around the backhoe. <br /> Each potential hazard relative to the potential for exposure is described below. <br /> Chemical Contamination <br /> The potential chemical hazard at this site is exposure to gasoline. The main routes <br /> of exposure are throu$h respiration,and through skin contact with contaminated <br /> soils. Protective clothing,including gloves,shall be worn during sample collection. <br /> Prolonged breathing of gasoline vapors shall be avoided. If'a strong odor of <br /> gasoline vapors is detected,and exposure to these vapors is unavoidable,filter <br /> masks capable of removing the vapors,or CBA:shall be worn. <br /> Physical Hazards <br />
