I
2.6.2 Monitoring Well Development i
r
On February 15, 2011, Dei-Tech Geotechnical Support Services (Del-Tech) developed the new
groundwater monitoring well. Purge water was stored in Department of Transportation (DOT)
approved 55-gallon poly drums pending analytical results. Del-Tech's well development field
f notes are included in Attachment E.
f
2.7 Groundwater Monitoring k
On February 18,2011, Del-Tech measured the static depth to water in MW-BR prior to purging and
samplingthe well. Depth to groundwater was 8.68 feet
' Lgs. trig to sample collection, a minimum
of three well casing volumes were purged from the well. Groundwater samples were collected for
analysis after water in the casing recharged to>90%of pre-purged levels.
Groundwater samples were collected with Waterra inertia pump and dedicated tubing with a check
valve. The water was carefully decanted into the appropriated containers, checked for headspace,
uniquely labeled, placed into an ice chest cooled to approximately 4°C, and transported to Argon i
under chain of custody protocol for analysis. r
Y
On March 21, 2011, Del-Tech measured the static depth to water in MW-BR prior to purging and r
sampling the well. Depth to groundwater was 7.96 feet bgs. Prior to sample collection, a minimum
of three well casing volumes were purged from the well. Groundwater samples were collected for
analysis after water in the casing recharged to >90% of pre-purged levels. Groundwater samples
were collected following the protocol above.
e
Purge water was contained in properly labeled DOT approved 55-gallon poly drums pending
analytical. Del-Tech's monitoring data sheets are included in Attachment F.
2.7.1 Analytical Results
During both groundwater monitoring events, groundwater samples were analyzed for:::
• (TPHg) and Total petroleum hydrocarbons as diesel(TPHd)by EPA method 8015M
• BTEX and fuel oxygenates b EPA method 8260B
Yg Y
Laboratory analytical results indicate that no analyzed constituent was reported above laboratory
detection limits during either of the February 18, 2011 and March 21, 2011 groundwater '
monitoring events. Analytical results are summarized in Table 6. The laboratory analytical
I
report is included in Attachments A-7.
i
- 10-
