M
INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY CORPORATION i
Mr. Harlin Knoll
Page 2
Groundwater samples were collected from the four wells using a Teflon sampling bailer;packed
1
in an iced cooler, and transported under Chain-of-Custody manifest to Sparger Technologies,
Inc., a California-certified analytical:laboratory located in °Sacramento, California. The
laboratory analyzed.each field sample and one trip blank.for benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene,
} xylenes (BTEX) and Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) using EPA Method
801518020. The laboratory reports and chain-of-custody documents are included.as Attachment
2.
r Benzene was detected in three wells (MW-1, MW-2 and MW=3). The concentration and
distribution of benzene in groundwater is consistent with the results from the previous sampling
iE event in January, 1995. Concentrations of toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes and TPHg were not
detected. This represents a decline from the January 199. 5 sampling event. The current and
historical laboratory results are summarized in:Table 2.
The next round of groundwater monitoring and sampling is scheduled for the month of.October
1995. •If you have any-questions or comments; please call me at (916).361-7673.
Sincerely,
{ IT CORPORATION
a ems .
-. * ' ' .
Joseph Ramage, R.G.
