EHD directed in a letter dated May 13, 2003 that the feasibility of
groundwater extraction to stop further migration of MTBE and as a remedial alternative
be investigated. A work plan to further investigate the lateral and vertical extent of
MTBE contamination and evaluate the feasibility of groundwater extraction and/or other
remedial alternatives for this site was to be submitted at the same time as the SCM.
This work plan must be submitted by November 3, 2003.
The latitude, longitude and elevations of the monitoring wells have been submitted to
GeoTracker, but the laboratory analytical results of the water samples from the
monitoring wells still have not been electronically submitted to GeoTracker—the State
Water Resources Control Board database program. This is required by California Code
of Regulations Section 2729.1 and commonly referred to as AB 2886. Electronic
transmission of laboratory analytical results to GeoTracker must be done immediately.
If you have any questions contact me at(209)468-3449.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environmental Health Department
Margaret Lagorio, Supervising RENS
Unit IV
c: CVRWQCB—Jim Barton
Stratus—Steven Carter
