The current station configuration is shown on <br /> Figure 2. <br /> PREVIOUS ENVIRONMENTAL INVESTIGATIONS <br /> A summary of environmental activities completed at the site is outlined below. Locations <br />{ of soil borings and wells referenced in this section are shown on Figures 2 and 3. <br /> r <br /> Consultants representing Joe's Truck Plaza during these investigations included <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Advanced), Avalon Environmental Consultants <br /> (Avalon), and Stratus. <br /> • Advanced oversaw the initial subsurface assessment in January 1997, <br /> consisting of seven soil borings advanced in the vicinity of the former septic <br /> leach lines (boring B-1), the former southern UST (borings B-2 and B-3), and <br /> the former northern UST's (borings B-4 through B-7). <br /> • The USTs, product piping, and dispensers were replaced in 1998 during site <br /> renovation activities. Avalon conducted compliance soil sampling for the <br /> former southern UST pit in February 1998, and for the former northern UST <br /> pit in October 1998. <br /> • Avalon supervised advancement of seven GeoProbeTM borings in the vicinity <br /> of the former northern UST's (GP-1 through GP-7), and eight GeoProbeTM <br /> borings in the vicinity of the former southern UST's (GP-8 through GP-15) in <br /> November 1998. <br /> • Avalon supervised installation of six on-site groundwater monitoring wells <br /> (MW-1 through MW-6) in February 2000. <br /> • Quarterly monitoring and sampling was initiated in February 2000. <br /> • Avalon supervised advancement of four on-site GeoProbeTM borings (GP-1 <br /> through GP-4), and six off-site GeoProbeTM borings (GP-5 through GP-10) in <br /> January 2001. <br /> i • Avalon supervised installation of one on-site monitoring well (MWO-1X) and <br /> three off-site monitoring wells (MWO-1 through MWO-3) in February 2002. <br /> • Stratus conducted a Cone Penetration Test (CPT) investigation in May 2004. <br /> A total of eight on- and off-site borings (CPT-1 through CPT-8) <br /> were <br /> advanced to depths up to 100 feet below ground surface (bgs).
