(Stratus), on behalf of Mr. Kashmari Singh and
Mr. Dalwinder Dhoot,is submitting this Work Plait Addendum to conduct further
assessment activities and feasibility testing at Joe's Truck Plaza, located at 15600
Harlan Road, Lathrop, California (Figure 1). This Work Plan Addendum was
prepared in response to a .San Joaquin . County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) letter dated December 8, 2003, and
subsequent telephone conversations on December 3, 2003, and December 28,
2003.
Stratus previously submitted a Work Plan for Additional Site Assessment (dated
October 21,. 2003)that proposed installation of additional monitoring wells for
vertical and lateral delineation, feasibility testing, and implementation of interim
remediation. Based on discussions with SJCEHD, it is our understanding that
SJCEHD desires installation of soil borings using some type of continuous
logging technique, to calibrate the boring logs prepared by previous consultants
working at the site, prior to installation of additional monitoring wells. This Work
Plan Addendum proposes installation of eight (8) Cone Penetration Test (CPT)
borings to 80 feet below ground surface (bgs) to develop a better understanding of
the subsurface. As discussed, Stratus will also install one monitoring well (MW-
7) east of well MW-1 to perform feasibility testing, as described in the October f
21, 2003, Work Plan.
BACKGROUND SUMMARY
i
The subject site is an active service station located on Harlan Road, south of the
intersection with J Street, in Lathrop, California (Figure 1). The current station
configuration consists of a station building, four dispenser islands intended for
P:Uoe's Truck Plaza\Work P1ans\Joes wp addendum 123103.doc
