1 <br /> • 3.0 GENERAL SITE INFORMATION <br /> 1 3.1 Site Location <br /> The subject property is located on the east side of Harlan Road, east of the Golden <br /> State Freeway in Lathrop California The subject property contains a two-story <br /> structure with a mini market on the ground floor, and an office on the second floor <br /> 1 Surrounding the mini market are gasoline and diesel dispensers <br /> 3.2 Geology and Hydrology <br /> Geology-The subject property is in the northern portion of the San Joaquin Valley <br /> 1 Basin, a structural basin within the northern part of the Great Valley Geomorphic <br /> Provence of California Unconsolidated alluvial sediments of Quaternary age <br /> underlie the site Soils encountered in the borings consist of fine grained <br /> sediments such as fine sands, silts and clays. The continuous coring performed as <br /> part of this investigation revealed an extremely coarse grained sand from <br /> I approximately 12 to 20 feet bgs Permeability and porosity analysis performed as <br /> part of this Investigation show moderate to high permeability and porosity <br /> Organlccarbon in the area of impact is high, possibly due to residual hydrocarbons <br /> left in place <br /> 1 • Hydrology - Groundwater at the subject site is approximately 9 feet bgs In this <br /> Investigation Current and previous groundwater monitoring events at the subject <br /> property suggest a north, northeastern gradient direction <br /> 3.3 Site History <br /> I <br /> According to the current owners of the site, Kashmir Singh and Dalwidner Dhoot, <br /> the subject property was a fruit stand in 1952 In 1972 Joe Takashita, built a <br /> gasoline service station which was called Tokyo Joe's In 1986, the property was <br /> sold to Joseph Jakary and continued as a gasoline service station In 1991, the <br /> 1 service station was sold to Harry Mogairian, and then in 1993 the property was <br /> sold to the current owners, Kashmir and Dalwidner Dhoot The property is still <br /> referred to as Joe's Place Truck Plaza According to the current owners, while <br /> under Jae Takashita's control, the site may have been a Texaco franchise <br /> I <br /> I Avalon Environmental Consultants 9627-001 7 <br /> Joe's Truck Plaza 15600 5 Harlan Road <br /> May 15 2002 Lathrop California <br /> 4 <br /> I <br />
