1 <br />' part of this Investigation revealed an extremely coarse grained sand from <br /> approximately 12 to 20 feet bgs <br /> Hydrology - Groundwater at the subject site Is approximately 9 feet bgs In this <br /> Investigation The contaminant concentrations encountered suggest a northern <br />' groundwater gradient direction <br />' 3.3 Site History <br /> According to the current owners of the site, Kashmir and Dalwidner Dhoot, the <br /> subject property was a fruit stand in 1952 In 1972 Joe Takashita, built a gasoline <br /> service station which was called Tokyo Joe's In 1986 the property was sold to <br /> Joseph Jakary and continued as a gasoline service station In 1991 the service <br />' station was sold to Harry Mogairian, and then in 1993 the property was sold to the <br /> current owners Kashmir and Dalwidner Dhoot The property Is still referred to as <br /> Joe's Place Truck Stop. According to the current owners, while under Joe <br />' Takashita's control, the site may have been a Texaco franchise <br /> 4.0 SUMMARY OF PHASE ll FIELD OPERATIONS <br />' 4.1 Utility Clearance <br /> Forty-eight hours prior to work, as required by law, Underground Service Alert was <br /> contacted in order to provide clearance of the boring locations from any possible <br />' underground utility lines which might exist on the subject property <br /> 4.2 Soil Boring and Soil Sampling Procedures (Geoprobe) <br />' Prior to the start of the drilling operations, a tailgate Health and Safety meeting was <br /> conducted by the Project Manager to discuss potential health and safety risks and <br />' the appropriate precautions required to reduce such risks <br /> The soil boring locations are shown in Appendix I.
