CHRONOLOGY
2421 Holly Dr., Tracy page 2
10/25/96 Report of monitoring well installations and first groundwater sampling
event received at PHS-EHD. Soil for B-1 @ 5' bgs, and MW-1, 2, and 3
at 5' or 10' non-detect at LUFT detection limits. MtBE (8020) non detect
@ 5.0 mg/kg. Groundwater highest TPHg in MW-3 @3,500 pg/i and
highest Benzene in MW-2 @ 11.0 µg/l. MtBE in MW-2 @ 16 µg11 per EPA
Method 8020. Soil boring B-1 with grab groundwater sample reports
TPHg @ 9,100 pg/l, and highest MtBE @ 66.0 µg/l.
04/04/97 Letter of Commitment for $25K issued by SWRCB-CUF. Claim #011461.
09/30/97 PHS-EHD issues requirement for work plan to delineate the groundwater
plume contamination by October 31, 1997.
11/04/97 PHS-EHD approves AGE work plan received October 31, 1997 for deep
soil boring in former UST pit to --20' bgs and additional monitoring well
north of building.
04/19/99 With no enactment of approved work plan from 11197, PHS-EHD
comments on AGE's, "Closure Summary Report", submitted to PHS-EHD
on 4-6-99. PHS-EHD lists discrepancies with Closure Report and brings
other concerns to the attention of the responsible party, including
concerns for piping disposition, "strong HC odors" in samples NOT
analyzed, and lack of quarterly monitoring. Closure request NOT
approved.
01/24/00 PHS-EHD again comments on previous concerns NOT answered or
enacted by responsible party. PHS-EHD issues directive to provide UST
piping disposition records, resume quarterly groundwater monitoring, and
to make application for drilling and enacting the approved May 1996 by
March 10, 2000.
03/22/00 Monitoring well installation and additional boring NOT drilled yet. Instead
new consulting firm ATC calls and requests delay for quarterly sampling
for March 29, 2000. PHS-EHD allows extra time for catch up.
04/06/01 PHS-EHD and ATC establish possible next phases for site and include
enacting work plan, submit PAR or NFA based on Tri-Regional Guideline
Appendix A & B formatting by May 7, 2001 or new work plan by June 10,
2001.
