SITE INVESTIGATION WORK PLAN
April 1996
Paladin Mileage Center(Gemelos Property)
2421 Holly Drive
Tracy, California
I.O. INTRODUCTION
In accordance with the request of Mr. John Gemelos, AchJanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) has
prepared the enclosed Site Investigation Work Plan for 2421 Holly Drive in Tracy, California (the
site). The location of the site is illustrated on Figure 1. A plan of the site is illustrated on Figure 2.
The work is performed in accordance with San Joaquin County Public Health Services -
Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board guidelines for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites.
2.0. BACKGROUND
2.1. SITE DESCRIPTION
The site is located in a commercial/industrial area of central Tracy(Figure 1). The property is located
at the northwest corner of the intersection of Grant Line Road and Holly Drive. One building is
currently situated on the property(Figure 2). It is our understanding that the property was historically
operated as a car wash and car repair shop. The site is presently unoccupied.
2.2. UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK REMOVAL
Two 10,000-gallon underground storage tanks (USTs) were removed from the property in April
1988. Upon removal of the USTs, soil and ground water samples were collected from the excavation
areas. Laboratory results of the samples indicated the that hydrocarbon-impacted soil and ground
water was present at the site.
2.3. GROUND WATER DEPTH AND FLOW DIRECTION
Based upon data obtained from monitoring wells located on nearby properties, ground water depth
in the area of the site is approximately 5 to 6 feet below surface grade (bsg). Regional ground water
flow direction is north or northeast. However, ground water flow direction can vary seasonally.
