NOTICE <br /> Consulting engineers, geologists and other professional firms experienced <br /> int he field of underground storage tank corrective action work are being <br /> invited to submit bids to conduct a Soil and Groundwater Assessment and <br /> Remedial Action Investigation for San Joaquin County Maintenance Yard <br /> located at 1810 East Hazelton Avenue in Stockton, California <br /> A. OBJECTIVE <br /> The objective of the scope of work is to 1)characterize the full lateral and vertical extent of soil and groundwater contamination at <br /> the above noted site in and around the piping, remote fill lines, dispenser islands and the former and active underground storage <br /> tanks listed in the table below;2)to install and test at least three soil vapor extraction test wells to be located in an area of known <br /> hydrocarbon impacted soil, and 3) to evaluate the data to compile a Corrective Action Plan for the site in accordance with the <br /> requirements of Title 23,Chapter 16,Article 11,Section 2725 which shall include a remedial system design and cost specifications. <br /> The work is to be done in an expedited manner and will require a qualified professional(pursuant to the Business and Professions <br /> Code)at the site during the work who is capable of making important decisions with regard to the flexible scope of work and well <br /> construction design. <br /> B. BACKGROUND <br /> The property is owned by San Joaquin County and is currently used for fleet parking, maintenance and fueling. A total of eight(8) <br /> underground storage tanks(USTs)were used at the site over the years. These include the following: <br /> TANK NUMBER GALLONAGE/PRODUCT LOCATION INVESTIGATION <br /> REQUIRED? <br /> Tank#1 12,000 gallon northeast of yes-history <br /> ACTIVE gasoline dispenser island of failures <br /> Tank#2 10,000 gallon southeast of yes-history <br /> ACTIVE diesel dispenser island of failures <br /> Tank#3 12,000 gallon west of yes-documented <br /> REMOVED 1995 gasoline dispenser island soil impact <br /> Tank#4 1,000 gallon chemical storage yes-pre-tank <br /> ACTIVE waste oil room removal <br /> Tank#5 520 gallon north and wash no-removed with <br /> REMOVED 1991 kerosene and lube rack no soil impact <br /> Tank#6 500 gallon west of tire yes-history <br /> thru gasoline repair area leaking <br /> Tank#8 <br /> REMOVED DATE UNKNOWN <br /> 1 <br />
