_ Pagel of 5
Harlin Knoll [EH]
From: Harlin Knoll [EH]
Sent: Wednesday, June 01, 2011 2:01 PM
To: 'Bill Cook'
Cc: Kerry Wasson [GOVB]
Subject: RE: Approved Remedial Feasibility Testing, 1810 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton, CA(LOP Site Code
1141)
Bill,
The EHD has reviewed the latest ground water sample results and the request by Condor to modify (expand the
scope)of the work plan (WP)approved 7 March 2003 that was prepared by Ramage Environmental.
Your request is approved. The approved changes are as follows:
1. Lengthen the duration of the pilot test to 2-3 days period and preferably 24 hours of continuous operation each
day.
2. To vary/adjust the extraction rate(vacuum)during the test to obtain more comprehensive data.
3. To perform in-situ air sparging (IAS) below the saturated zone in conjunction with soil vacuum extraction (SVE)
in the vadose zone.
4. Add a ground water extraction component to the test to determine if this technology is feasible.
In addition to these changes, EHD recommends sampling the ground water from the existing 60-foot IAS well pre
and post pilot testing. The results should be evaluated in the feasibility study report that will be submitted.
Please complete this long over due feasibility pilot test by 15 June 2011.
If you have any further questions regarding this approval, please contact me for clarification.
HARLIN KNOLL
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY/EHD
600 E MAIN STREET
STOCKTON, CA 95202
(209)468-3442
FAX:468-3433
From: Bill Cook [mailto:bcook@condorearth.com]
Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 2011 10:05 AM
To: Nuel Henderson [EH]; Harlin Knoll [EH]
Cc: Casey Kipf
Subject: FW: Approved Remedial Feasibility Testing, 1810 E.
