Hazelton Ave., Stockton, CA (#1141)
San Joaquin County Motor Pool UST Site
1810 E. Hazelton Ave., Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department Site Code#1141
Condor Earth Technologies, Inc. is making preparations to implement the approved Remedial Feasibility
Testing in general compliance with the Site Conceptual Model and Work Plan, Additional Site Investigation
and Remedial Feasibility Testing, dated March 7, 2003. Pertinent sections from the approved Work Plan
are copied below. We are writing to request your concurrence and authorization to make some minor
changes which expand the soil vapor extraction (SVE)and air sparge (AS)testing. Condor proposes that:
• SVE and AS testing be extended the from eight hours/4 hours respectively, to 20-30 hours over two to
three days,
• SVE testing be performed at two or more extraction rates so that results can be compared to provide
greater insight in regard to subsurface conditions and provide data useful for sizing of a remediation
system,
• AS testing be operated in conjunction with the SVE testing and,
• Add a vacuum groundwater extraction component for a portion of the pilot test to evaluate the feasibility
of dual-phase extraction at the Site; no more than 3,000 gallons of groundwater would be extracted if
vacuum groundwater extraction is successful.
From "Site Conceptual Model and Work Plan, Additional Site Investigation and Remedial Feasibility
Testing, March 7, 2003"
6/1/2011
