Box 388 PERMITISERVICES
Stockton, CA 95201
Dear Mr. Knoll:
Re: Resubmission of Problem Assessment Report
Last week we discussed your inquiry regarding the status of certain underground fuel
tanks that have been removed from our Lathrop facility on Howland Road. According to
your research you were not able to locate the report Simplot sent to San Joaquin
Environmental Health on August 24, 1989. At your request, we are enclosing a copy of
that report entitled "Problem Assessment Report - Underground Fuel Storage Tank Site
Investigation for J. R. Simplot Company, Lathrop, California" dated July 27, 1989 which
was prepared for Simplot by Roy F. Weston, Inc.
You also asked for a Water Board contact who was knowledgeable about current
groundwater cleanup efforts by OxyChem at Lathrop. That person's name is Robert
Yeadon (telephone: 916-255-3033).
Please advise if you have further questions.
Sincerely,
J. R.
