TREADWELL & ROLLO
o total volatile hydrocarbons (EPA 8015 modified)
o total extractable hydrocarbons (EPA 8015 modified)
o total oil and grease (SMWW 5520)
o chlorinated herbicides (EPA 8150)
o carbamates and urea pesticides (EPA 8320)
0 organophosphorus pesticides (EPA 8140)
0 organochlorine pesticides (EPA 8240)
o Title 26 metals (EPA 6010, 7060, 7420, 7470, 7841)
o cyanide (EPA 335.2).
The confirmation samples obtained on 17 September 1991 were analyzed on a 24-hour
turnaround basis for total extractable hydrocarbons (EPA 8015 modified).
Detection limits and a specific compound listing for each analysis are included on the
laboratory reports presented in Appendix B.
4.6 Quality Control
A minimum of one quality control sample was submitted daily to the laboratory to check
for accuracy, precision, and possible contamination from either field and/or laboratory
procedures. Overall, two duplicate samples and one trip blank were submitted for
analytical testing. A duplicate and a field blank from the initial round of sampling on 23
August 1991 were tested for volatile organic compounds and one duplicate sample from
the 17 September 1991 sampling was analyzed for total extractable hydrocarbons. The
correlation between duplicate samples was satisfactory and only a trace laboratory
contaminant (acetone) was detected in the trip blank; consequently, the analytical results
were judged to be representative of field conditions.
7
1107A201.CRJ 5 November 1991
