The results of the assessment were
documented in a report titled 'Preliminary Environmental Site Assessment, Industrial
Park Drive/Bessemer Avenue, Manteca, California" dated 15 August 1990. In summary,
the assessment indicated that the site and surrounding area was previously open range
land. In the 1970s, the site and its vicinity were developed as a light industrial park;
however, the site itself was never commercially developed nor improved. Consequently,
the potential for on-site sources to have affected the soil and groundwater was judged to
be insignificant.
