Contractor shall be responsible to repair any damage to <br /> building or sidewalk. Sidewalk specifications attached, landscaping shall <br /> be restored to existing condition. Engineered shoring plans are available. <br /> Contractor shall remove, transport and dispose of tank and any contaminated soil <br /> removed from the void. Contractor shall prepare and submit a Tank Closure <br /> Report to (PHS/EHD) and copy San Joaquin County, NOTE: Over excavation of <br /> the tank void will not be performed. Additionally, pea gravel will not be used as a <br /> backfill material. <br /> Two: Obtain a lithological soil profile through direct push point drilling, logging by the <br /> Unified Soil Classification System, in the southwest corner of the tank pit <br /> commencing at a depth of at least 25 feet below grade surface (bgs). Collect soil <br /> samples every 5 feet (or at changes in the lithology), submit samples collected <br /> from approximate depths bgs at 25 , 30, 35 and 40 feet. Depth to groundwater is <br /> approximately 4245 feet bgs. Obtain a "Grab Water" sample through the direct <br /> push point drilling mechanism. <br /> Soil samples will be analyzed as follows: <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Diesel GC-FID(3550) <br /> Detection Limits 1 .0 ppm (mg/kg) <br /> One Waste Extraction Test (WET) Title 22, CCR, Sec, 66700 <br /> Perform Deionized Water Extraction <br /> Water result will be analyzed as follows: <br /> Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons, Diesel GC-FID(3510) <br /> Detection Limits 50.0 ppb (ug/1) <br /> SITE 3: San Joaquin County Courthouse <br /> 222 E. Weber Avenue, Stockton <br /> History: This underground storage tank was used to re-fuel Sheriff' s vehicles beginning in <br /> 1975. Tank is constructed of single wail steel and is 10,000 gallons in size. The <br /> tank is located in a basement level parking lot that provides parking for County <br /> officials, delivery trucks servicing the Courthouse, vehicle inspections and <br /> delivery of inmates for Court appearances. Bidders must be aware that work <br /> required for removal may be limited to after normal working hours, weekends <br /> 3 <br />
