 l
(f) INVESTIGATION SUMMARY REPORT
AND GROUNDWATER MONITORING WORK PLAN
FORMER COUNTY MOTOR POOL
130 NORTH HUNTER STREET
Stockton, California
)
1.0 INTRODUCTION
(p ' This report summarizes the results of soil and groundwater investigations conducted at the Former
County Motor Pool Site at 130 North Hunter Street in Stockton, California (Figures 1 and 2), and
presents a work plan for groundwater monitoring . The City of Stockton (City) purchased the Site from
San Joaquin County in 2004, and has redeveloped it into a commercial building with a twomstory parking
lot called the Coy Garage. Treadwell & Rollo was retained by the City to conduct soil and groundwater
investigations, and to prepare this work plan .
The objectives of the soil & groundwater investigations were to help delineate the source and extent of
residual contamination around the former underground storage tank (UST) location area. The objective
of the proposed groundwater monitoring is to help delineate the concentrations and extent of
groundwater impacts and to help evaluate the need for additional monitoring and remedial measures.
® ! Treadwell & Rollo prepared a November 2004 soil and groundwater investigation work plan for the Site
(Treadwell & Rollo 2004b), which was approved on 9 November 2004 by the San Joaquin County
l Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD 2004) . Based on results of the field investigations two
addendums to the Work Plan were submitted on 10 December 2004(Treadwell & Rollo 2004c) and
20 January 2004 (Treadwell & Rollo, 2005a). ( These addendums were both approved by the SJCEHD
(SJCEHD, 2005b). A well destruction work plan was submitted to the SJCEHD on 11 January 2005, and
was approved on 14 January 2005 (SJCEHD, 2005a).
This report and work plan presents the following :
F
" 1 . A summary of previous Site uses and soil and groundwater investigations conducted prior
Qto 2004;
kf 2. Details of the environmental work conducted by the City since 2004, including :
i
• Sampling and laboratory analytical methods used;
Q
