The well
abandonment of four (4) of the wells will occur on September 30,2002, at the end of drilling
and sampling activities. The six (6)remaining wells will be abandoned on October 2, 2002 at
8:00 am. j
These wells are being installed for SFPP, L.P. Per our conversation on September 11, 2002, CH2M HILL
will be allowed to construct these wells according to the following specifications.
• All ten(10)borings are to be completed to 10 feet below ground surface. All short-term
wells will be installed with 3/4-inch PVC using 0.020-inch slotted screen.
i
• All ten(10) wells will be used for the collection of groundwater samples and water level
measurements.
• Surface completions will done by hydrating a small amount of bentonite pellets from
ground surface to 0.5 feet below ground surface as a temporary sanitary seal around the
PVC casing. This will only be done for the six (6) PVC casings that remain in the ground
until October 2,2002.
i
2002-09.25_SANJOAQUINCOPERM ITS_TRANSMITTAL.DOC
i,
