OCTOBER 17,2005
NOA PROJECT NUMBER E05131A
sample containers. All samples will be stored on ice and transported, under proper chain of custody,
to the laboratory for analysis. It is anticipated that samples will be analyzed at Presicion Enviro-Tech,
Stockton,California. A log of gauging, purging and sampling activities will be completed for each well
by the sampler, using a field report sheet similar to the one included in Appendix A.
Quality assurance and quality control(QA/QC) samples (i.e.,field blanks, trip blanks, laboratory blanks)
are not anticipated for use during this project, but may be collected if the groundwater professional
overseeing sampling activities determines a need for QA/QC sample analysis.
Table 1: Analytical Requirements for Groundwater Samples
Test Parameter DLR Unit Method Frequency
pH H units EPA 150.1 Quarterl
Specific Conductance C 1.0 umhos/cm EPA 120.1 Quarterly
Total Dissolved Solids 1.00 m /L EPA 160.1 Quarterly
Nitrate as N 0.200 m /L EPA 300.0 Quarterly
Total Kjeldahl Nitrogen 0.200 m /L EPA 351.2 Quarterly
Total Alkalin 1.00 m /L EPA 310.1 Annually
Carbonate Alkalin 1.00 m /L EPA 310.1 Annually
Bicarbonate Alkalin 1.00 m /L EPA 310.1 Annually
Hydroxide Alkalin 1.00 m /L EPA 310.1 Annually
Calcium 1.0 m /L EPA 200.7 Annually
Chloride 1.00 m /L EPA 300.0 Annually
Hardness as CaCO3 6.6 m /L Calc. -Annually
Potassium 1.0 m /L EPA 200.7 Annuall
Magnesium 1.0 m /L EPA 200.7 Annually
Sodium 1.0 m /L EPA 200.7 Annually
Sulfate as SO4 1.00 mg/L EPA 300.0 Annuall
Boro 100 u /l EPA 200.7 Annuall
Ito 50 u /l EPA 200.7 Annuall
Notes:
(1) Sample containers include one plastic quart bottle per well.
DLR-Detection Limit for purposes of reporting
3.1 Evaluation of Analytical Results
Quarterly monitoring reports shall be submitted by the end of the first month following the end of the
quarter. For example, the first quarter report (January to March) would be submitted by April 30.
Those reports shall include all field sampling logs and laboratory analytical report sheets for the most
recent monitoring event, a tabular, presentation of cumulative monitoring data (well gauging and
analytical results) for each constituent at each monitoring well, a narrative discussion of actual
procedures used during the sampling event, maps showing the select analytical results at each well and
the hydraulic gradient, and a comparison of analytical results to applicable water quality standards.
6 '-A4
