MONITORING WELL INSTALLATION, DEVELOPMENT AND SURVEY
Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize water flow and minimize the
- amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing. After development,
the top of each newly installed well casing(well head)will be surveyed to determine its elevation
relative to mean sea level. Procedures for well installation, development and survey are presented
in Sections 4.2. and 4.3., respectively.
l 3.4. GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Ground water monitoring and sampling activities for each newly installed ground water monitoring
.I well will be conducted on a quarterly basis unless an alternate schedule or suspension of monitoring
is approved by the EHD. Ground water monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground
water measurements and collection of ground water samples for laboratory analysis. Ground water
r sample collection procedures are described in Section 4.4.3.
, J
_ Ground water samples will be analyzedby a DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents:
TPH-g, TPH-d and TPH-mo by EPA Method 8015 Modified;
• BTEX by EPA Method 8260.
I
• Fuel additives MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME, EDB and 1,2-DCA by EPA Method
-I 8260.
Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality
control(QA/QC)reports,and sample chain-of-custody documentation willbe presented inthereport.
I. I 3.5. PREPARATION OF REPORT OF FINDINGS
Following the field activities and each ground water monitoring event, a quarterly report will be
prepared presenting the findings. Each report will include a description of work performed and the
results of the soil and/or groundwater sampling and analysis;conclusions and recommendations will
also be included, if applicable. The report will be in a format acceptable to the EHD, and will be
reviewed and signed by a California Registered Geologist.
iI
Advanced GcoEnvironmental,Inc.
J
