N
ATC Associates Inc.
(:V
1117 Lone Palm Avenue, Suite B
Modesto, California 95351
209-579-2221
A S 5 0 C T A T E 5 I N C .
fax: 209-579-2225
continuously recorded. Also in accordance with the GDP, on June 29, 2005, ATC collected well-
mixed and representative samples of the final treated groundwater. The groundwater samples
were analyzed for pH by EPA method 150. 1 ; total petroleum hydrocarbons by EPA method
418 . 1 ; total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) by EPA method 8015B; benzene,
toluene, ethyl benzene, and xylenes (BTEX) utilizing EPA method 802113; and methyl tertiary
butyl ether (MTBE) utilizing EPA method 8260B .
SELF-MONITORING RESULTS
From the date of its startup, December 20, 2002, through June 29, 2005 , the groundwater
treatment system had an average flowrate of 0.91 gallons per minute (gpm) and 1 ,310 gpd and a
total discharge of 425 ,685 gallons. During the reporting period from May 31 to June 29, 2005,
the groundwater treatment system had an average flowrate of 0 .61 gpm and 880 gpd and a
discharge of 1 , 141 gallons. The system was shut down from May 31 to June 28, 2005 in order to
troubleshoot the reason for exceeding the discharge limits during the last reporting period.
Subsequently, one extraction well was closed and the vacuum on another extraction well was
reduced. Upon restart, the system was monitored daily to ensure that we were in compliance.
The final treated groundwater sample (Effluent) collected on June 29, 2005 , contained no
detectable concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons, TPHg, BTEX, MTBE, ETBE, TBA,
TAME, DIPE, 1 .2-DCA, or EDB. The final treated groundwater sample (Effluent) collected on
June 29; 2005 indicated that pH was within the required range. Results of the monthly self-
monitoring program are summarized in Table 1 and analytical data is attached.
If you require any additional information, please contact our office at (209) 579-2221 .
Respectfully submitted,
ATC Associates Inc.
1z'AHyEE
h HOM°
N ON 7-417
CIVIL
Jeanne Homsev, P.E.
CA Registered Civil Engineer No . 47410
cc: Mr. and Mrs .
