Acacia Street
Stockton, CA 95202
Subject: Underground Storage Tank Soil Evaluation
Dameron Hospital
525 W. Acacia Street
Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Wiebe:
Attached are the analytical results for soil samples collected within four exploratory
probes advanced adjacent to a diesel underground storage tank (UST) at the subject
site (Plate 1). The soil samples were analyzed for various diesel constituents. This
report presents a summary of our field activities, observations, analytical results and
conclusions.
BACKGROUND/PURPOSE
Kleinfelder understands that an approximate 6,000-gallon diesel UST is presently
located at Dameron Hospital (Dameron). Dameron contacted Kleinfelder to evaluate
potential diesel fuel leaks from this UST into soil near each end and along the sides of
the UST. This request is being done voluntarily by Dameron and is not a result of
regulatory actions.
Based on engineering drawings provided by Dameron, Kleinfelder understands the
6,000 gallon UST is approximately 8 feet wide and 17 feet long, with an inverted depth
(or bottom) at approximately 11 feet below ground surface (bgs). The provided
drawings and exterior piping indicate that the vent and supply and/or return lines are
located near the eastern end of the UST. Kleinfelder assumes that potential leaks
would probably be most evident near this eastern end from overspill or just below the
inverted tank depth.
124508.T3/ST012R0251 Page 1 of 6 February 20, 2012
Copyright 2012 Kleinfelder
2001 Arch-Airport Road,Suite 100, Stockton, CA 95206 p 1209.948.1345 f 1209.234.4700
