(PES) presents this workplan on behalf of Catellus Development <br /> Corporation to conduct grab groundwater sampling at the above referenced properties in <br /> Stockton, California (the "Site"). This workplan is submitted to the San Joaquin County Public <br /> Health Services - Environmental Health Division (SJPHS-EHD) in accordance with County <br /> requirements associated with the attached Application for Permit to perform the groundwater <br /> sampling. The groundwater sampling is being performed, in support of a property transfer, to <br /> evaluate the potential for activities at nearby (off-site) industrial facilities to have adversely <br /> affected groundwater beneath the subject properties. In accordance with County requirements, <br /> laboratory analytical data collected during the grab groundwater sampling will be provided to <br /> the SJCPHS-EHD. <br /> This workplan includes the following: (1) background information; and (2) a scope of work for <br /> the groundwater sampling activities. <br /> BACKGROUND INFORMATION <br /> Site Description <br /> The groundwater sampling will be performed on two adjoining properties currently owned by <br /> Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) and Mrs. Lesley Fitch, respectively. The two properties are <br /> located north and west of Ralph Avenue and South Airport Way in Stockton, California. The <br /> UPRR property consists of approximately 67 acres and is identified by Accessors Parcel <br /> Number 177-020-053.
