Kettleman Lane
Lodi CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has reviewed
the "Quarterly Groundwater Monitoring Report" dated January 12, 1994 and the January 27, 1994
letter prepared by Aegis Environmental, Inc. for the above referenced site.
Results of the groundwater samples collected from the three monitoring wells have not evidenced
contamination since October 1992, prior to that low concentrations were evidenced twice in MW1 and
once in MW3.
The groundwater gradient for this site varies from southeast to southwest so both MW1 and MW2 are
upgradient of the underground storage tanks (UST's) and their piping: The location of MW3 is 120
feet southwest of the UST's. There are no monitoring wells close to and downgradient of the UST's
or boring 8 (drilled in 1989 near the thief port) where soil contamination was evidenced at 10 feet
below grade.
Further investigation to define the extent of the soil/groundwatercontamination is warranted. Annual
sampling and monitoring is acceptable until this further investigation ii conducted.
If you have any questions contact Margaret Lagorio, Senior REHi S, at (209) 468-3449.
Ernest M.
