2.3 Groundwater Conditions
Information sources prepared by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and the
CVRWQCB were reviewed for information pertaining to groundwater quality and occurrence in the
vicinity of the Site.
The DWR provided a copy of the Water Well Drillers Report for the domestic well located at the
011110 Site, which indicates that the-well'was'installed in 1969 da depth of 46 meters (m) (150 feet) below
0 ground surface (bgs). Perforations`in the well exist between 13 and 26 m (43 and 85 feet) bgs.
Groundwater was encountered approximately 15 in(50 feet)bgs. The well was overdrilled in 1970 io— t
i
a depth of 73 m (241 feet)The Site utilized the well water for drinking water between 1970 and
1991. A copy of the well report is presented in Appendix B.
The nearest known water well to the Site (DWR Well ID 02SO5E29CO1M) is located approximately
0.8 km (0.5 mile) east of the Site. The water level in this well fluctuated between 1959 and 1974 at
depths ranging from 1.7 to 2.6 m (5.5 to 8.5 feet) bgs. I formation obtained from the City of Tracy
Public Works indicates that the general groundwater flow in the site vicinity is directed to the
northeast.
Review of the CVRWQCB Basin PIan indicates that t e Site is located in the San Joaquin Delta
Hydrologic Unit. The Basin Plan further indicates that gr undwater occurring within the San Joaquin
Delta Hydrologic Unit has "designated beneficial" uses for municipal and domestic supply,.
agricultural supply, and industrial service and supply purposes.
Project No.58225-06-146 -6- May 25,2001
