Paints and asphalt sealer was noted in 19-liter(5-gallon) uckets on pallets in the wood storage shed. <br /> Seven portable propane containers were noted in the wood storage shed. The warehouse contained <br /> miscellaneous containers of cleaning and janitorial chemicals, paints and supplies. The gas house <br /> contains eight drums of petroleum oils and products, grease, fuses, floor sweep, batteries and a small <br /> pesticide storage container. <br /> Chemicals contained in the onsite ASTs are is disco sed hereinafter in Section 4.1.9 "Storage <br /> Tanks." <br /> 4.1.3 Refuse & Debris <br /> The western unpaved portion of the Site is the storage area for stockpiled materials including <br /> aggregate rock stockpiles, boulders, slide material, piping, fencing, plastic spill kits, wooden pallets, <br /> timbers, rusted metal parts, signs, tires, an empty asphalt emulsion AST, an empty kerosene AST and <br /> water AST are stored in the western portion of the Site. A photograph of the empty asphalt emulsion <br /> AST, empty kerosene AST and materials stored in the western portion of the Site is presented on <br /> Figure 10e, Photo No. 10. <br /> 4.1.4 Site Drainage <br /> Surface water leaves the Site as sheet flow and collects in an unlined ditch southwest of the Site that <br /> runs along the north side of Krohn.Road and empties into Placencia Field, a drainage basin <br /> approximately 0.2 km (0.12 mile) southwest of the Site. A depression was noted along the eastern <br /> boundary of the Site where water may collect and flowsouth into a canal south of the Site. The Site <br /> may collect surface water flow from 11`h Street during rain events. <br /> 4.1.5 Surface Vegetation and Soil Conditions <br /> Onsite vegetation includes pine trees, weeds and shrubs north and east of the office. Onsite <br /> vegetation appeared healthy and did not display evidence of stress. Weed growth however had been <br /> recently sprayed with "Roundup." Discolored or stained soils were not noted during the onsite <br /> reconnaissance. <br /> 4.1.6 Water Wells <br /> A 3,800-liter(1,000-gallon) water pressure tank and a 20- entimeter(8-inch)domestic water well are <br /> located southeast of the warehouse. The domestic well was installed in 1969 to a depth of 46 m(150 <br /> feet) bgs and was deepened in 1970 to a depth of 73 m ( 41 feet). The well was reportedly used for <br /> domestic water supply purposes until 1991 when the line from the well was cut and capped north of <br /> the gas house. The water well is currently used to fill wa er trucks through the overhead water stand <br /> pipe and to supply one fire hydrant. The Site is currently serviced by city water. Analytical data for Y <br /> the water well was not available for review. A photograpt of the water well and pressure tank east of <br /> the warehouse is presented on Figure 1Of, Photo No. 11.
