Quarterly Ground Water Monitoring Report - November 1999,
VAN BUSKIRK GOLF COURSE FACILITY
1740 Houston Avenue, Stockton,' California,
' 1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr. John Fukumoto, agent for the City of Stockton,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
' -`Inc (AGE) has prepared this report for ground water monitoring activities conducted at the Van
'Buskirk .Golf Course.maintenance facility (site) located. at 1740.•Houston Avenue, Stockton,
California (Figure 1). This report presents the results of ground water monitoring, activities
conducted during November 1999. The November 1999 monitoring activities represents the third
round of ground water monitoring conducted under the ground water monitoring program as
recommended in the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground Water Assessment Report, dated .
' 30 June 1999..
The purpose of the ground water monitoring activities is to assess site ground water for seasonal
'. variations in elevation, gradient and flow direction, and to assess the impact of petroleum
hydrocarbons and fuel oxygenating compounds on groundwater beneath the.site. Site background
' information was summarized in the AGE-prepared Additional Soil and Ground Water Assessment
Report, dated 30 June 1999. This report was prepared in accordance with San Joaquin.County Public
Health Services -Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and Central.Valley Regional Water
'. Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) guidelines for the investigation of underground storage tank
(UST) sites.
2.0. GROUND WATER MONITORING AND SAMPLING PROCEDURES
On 04 November 1999,ground water monitoring activities were performed at the site. The ground
water monitoring activities included the measurement of round water levels and collection of
. g _ g •
ground water samples, from site monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-5. Ground water sampling
' procedures and protocols implemented at the site are presented-in Appendix A.
Prior to collection of ground water samples, each monitoring well-was appropriately purged and
' ground water parameters including dissolved oxygen, temperature, pH, and conductivity were
measured for stabiiization..Ground water sampling field data and logs are presented in Appendix B.
Monitoring well purge water and equipment decontamination water generating during the ground
water sampling activities were containerized in appropriately labeled 55-gallon drums and stored on-
site.
Following sample collection, each ground water sample was logged on a chain-of-custody form and
placed in a chilled container for storage and transportation to an analytical laboratory. Ground water
samples were submitted for analysis "to Alpha Analytical Laboratories Inc.. (AAL) in Ukiah, .
' California.AAL is a California Department of Health Services(DHS)-certified analytical laboratory:
Ground water samples were analyzed for:
', Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
